They made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law.
God’s earthly people, for the most part, refused to accept Jesus as Messiah. They refused to listen to His Word and see that He was the fulfillment of all the Old Testament prophecies about their Messiah. Let’s learn a lesson from them and be careful that we don’t become so self-satisfied in our position that we no longer listen to the Lord when He speaks to us. Keep your heart tender.
