The Pitying Saviour.

Listen from:
Jesus, thou didst pity me,
When I wandered far from Thee:
Thou didst hasten to my aid,
In the dust of death wast laid,
That Thou might’st obtain for me
Life and immortality.
O my Saviour! precious Lord!
Worthy Thou to be adored:
Let Thy mercy, vast and free,
Bind my very soul to Thee!
Daily let me Thee adore,
Loving now and evermore!
None can to glory go,
Or dwell with God above,
Save they who Jesus know,
And taste a Saviour’s love;
The holy words of truth declare
No other grounds of entrance there.
