Jesus said, "I lay down My life, that I might take it again" (John 10:1717Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. (John 10:17)). We know He has taken it again, and He is now in heaven—the same Person in a glorified body—and if we delight to think of Him as He was, it should be also our delight to think of Him as He is.
"Though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more" (2 Cor. 5:1616Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (2 Corinthians 5:16)). We are to know Him now in the heavenly position that He has taken for us; we are to have the conscious knowledge of Him there, for in Christianity the believer is connected with Christ in glory (1 Cor. 6:17; 12:12, 1317But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17)
12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:12‑13)).
