We would refer our correspondent “T.” of Halifax, to
1 John 2:15-16

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:15‑16)
, as containing a volume of instruction as to his difficulty. It is only as we walk in communion with “the Father” that we shall be able to form a just estimate of “the world.” We are truly thankful to hear of the blessing which our friend has received from the pages of
Things New and Old
. To God alone be all the glory, world without end!
