Listen from:
Ezekiel 2:1010And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. (Ezekiel 2:10). He spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
The manuscript rolls were usually written only on one side, though sometimes both sides were used. This was the case with the roll which Ezekiel saw. So numerous were the troubles which were to come upon the children of Israel that the roll which contained an account of them was completely filled, it being necessary to write on both sides. Something like this is thought to be meant in Revelation 5:11And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (Revelation 5:1). See note on Isaiah 34:44And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. (Isaiah 34:4) (#511).
