Jesus! life-giving sound,

The joy of earth and heaven;

No other help is found,

No other name is given,

In which the sons of men can boast,

But His who seeks and saves the lost.
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:8-14)
“Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.” (Psalm 60:11)
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
“Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:9)
“My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.” (Psalm 34:2)
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)

His name the sinner hears,

And is from guilt set free;

’Tis music in his ears,

’Tis life and victory:

His heart o’erflows with sacred joy,

And songs of praise his lips employ.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

Jesus! all praise above:

We sing Thy blessèd name,

We sing Thy dying love,

Thy rising power proclaim:

But soon, to give Thee worthy praise,

Both heaven and earth their songs shall raise.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” (Ephesians 5:25)
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” (Philippians 3:10)
