O what a happy soul am I
Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world
Contented I will be;
How many blessings I enjoy
That other people don’t;
To weep and sigh because I’m blind,
I cannot and I won’t.
Written by Fanny Crosby, the hymn writer, at the age of eight.
Memory Verse: “JESUS STOOD AND CRIED, SAYING, IF ANY MAN THIRST, LET HIM COME UNTO ME, AND DRINK.”
John 7:37
37
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (John 7:37)
