“Can you tell me the way to Naples?”
“I think you must take the first turn to the left.”
“Are you sure?”
“No.”
“That won’t do for me; I must ask someone else.”
“You’re too wise to waste five minutes for want of being sure of being on the right road. Are you equally wise about your soul? What is your hope for eternity?”
“I think if a man does his best —”
“If ‘I think’ is not enough to depend upon for time, it will never do for eternity.”
The Word of God says; “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life.” (1 John 5:1313These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
