46. Away With Our Sorrow and Fear

8s.
by C. Wesley
1
Away with our sorrow and fear!

We soon shall have entered our home,

The heavenly city appear,

The day of our glory have come!

From earth we shall quickly remove,

To dwell in our proper abode,

In mansions of glory above —

The house of our Father and God.
2
There Christ has our dwelling-place won,

And we in His glory shall be

With Him everlastingly one,

His glory and bliss we shall see.

All tears shall have passed from our eyes,

When Him we behold in the cloud,

And taste the full joy of the skies,

The love of our Father and God.
“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24)
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
