If angry words are spoken,
Return an answer kind;
Take Christ for your example,
And blessing you will find.
If brother or if sister
Cross words should speak to you,
Let words, and acts of kindness
Be seen in all you do.
Then great will be your blessing,
And rich be your reward;
Both now and in the glory
When with and like your Lord.
