PEACE,

1.

PEACE MADE ON THE CROSS.

“Having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Col. 1:20²⁰And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1:20).)

2.

PEACE DECLARED BY CHRIST RISEN ON THE

BASIS OF THE WORK OF HIS CROSS.

“Peace be unto you. And when He had so said, He showed unto them His hands and His side.” (John 20:19, 20¹⁹Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ²⁰And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. (John 20:19‑20).)

PEACE SECURED IN CHRIST IN HEAVEN.

“He is our peace.” (Eph. 2:14¹⁴For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (Ephesians 2:14).)

PEACE RECEIVED.

He “was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 4:25; 5:1²⁵Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:25)
