In God's own precious Word we find
This promise unto all;
He'll answer when they turn to Him
And on His Name will call.
His Word is just to rest in Him,
And trust His love so free;
To cast on Him your every care,
"Call,—I will answer thee."
In trial or perplexity,
In trouble or distress,
If on your Father you but call,
He will your pathway bless.
Are burdens more than you can bear?
Then is the time to call,
The One who knows your every care,
Will hear and answer all.
God asks His child to call on Him,
When troubles sore assail;
"I will deliver," is His Word,
His promise cannot fail.
The One who watches over you,
Who notes the sparrow's fall,
His ear is open to your prayer,
To hear you when you call.
And e'en before you call on Him,
He knows your every need,
He promises to hear your call,
And answer you indeed.
Then bring to Him in simple prayer,
Petitions large or small,
He'll show thee great and mighty things,
And answer when you call.
