Ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
Jesus was speaking here to His disciples, but the same is true of us. We have been chosen out of the world. We don’t belong here anymore. As the hymn says, “This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through.” We need to always keep that in our hearts. It makes a difference on our priorities in life. We have been chosen by the Lord to belong to Him. Our new home in heaven has been made ready by the Lord’s death on the cross. Now we can dwell on our new dwelling place!
