There is no matter."

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen. 1:1¹In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1).

Man is incapable of sin."

All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Rom. 3:23²³For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23).

Man is never sick."

They brought unto Him all sick people." Matt. 4:24²⁴And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. (Matthew 4:24).

There is no death."

It is appointed unto men once to die." Heb. 9:27²⁷And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27).

Man is co-existent with God."

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth." Ps. 103:15.

God is not a person."

The express image of His person." Heb. 1:3³Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hebrews 1:3).

The Virgin Mother conceived this idea of God, and gave to her Ideal the name of Jesus."

When He cometh into the world, He saith,... a body hast Thou prepared Me." Heb. 10:5⁵Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10:5).

Jesus is not the Christ."

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ." 1 John 2:22²²Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22).

The material blood of Jesus was no more efficacious to cleanse from sin, when it was shed upon the 'accursed tree,' than when it was flowing through his veins."

Without shedding of blood is no remission." Heb. 9:22²²And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22).

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7⁷But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7).

Resurrection; spiritualization of thought." "His reappearance in Idea."

Jesus saith, "Handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have." Luke 24:39³⁹Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. (Luke 24:39).

Another illusive personification, named Satan."

Satan himself." 2 Cor. 11:14¹⁴And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14).

There is no final judgment."

Judgment to come." Acts 24:25²⁵And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. (Acts 24:25).

Prayer to a personal God is a hindrance."

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee." Ps. 32:6.

The claims of the marriage covenant may be relinquished by mutual consent or legally dissolved."

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. ' Mark 10:9⁹What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Mark 10:9).

Discovered by a woman and taught by a woman."

I suffer not a woman to teach." 1 Tim. 2:12¹²But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (1 Timothy 2:12).

The personality of Jesus not to be worshiped."

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow." Phil. 2:10¹⁰That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Philippians 2:10).

The Bible was my only textbook."

Handling the word of God deceitfully." 2 Cor. 4: 2.

The material record of the Bible is no more important to our well-being than the history of Europe and America."

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Tim. 3:16¹⁶All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16).

Christ was incorporeal."

Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh... is that spirit of Antichrist." 1 John 4:3³And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3).

Church of Christ Scientist."

Many shall come in My name... and shall deceive many." Mark. 13:6.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the standard of truth by which all teaching is to be weighed; and He is not to be weighed by the teaching of any man or woman.
