1SA 17:37³⁷David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee. (1 Samuel 17:37)

The Lord that delivered me . . . He will deliver me.

David had absolute confidence that in spite of the odds against him (which he apparently didn’t even consider), the Lord would deliver him. Another way to say this is that David had faith. And God loves to reward faith. So we too can have the confidence that no matter what situation we’re faced with, the Lord will deliver us. As a result our confidence will grow and we can say, “The Lord that delivered me, will deliver me.”
