Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and He bringeth them out of their distresses.
A genuine cry to the Lord for help will be answered. How often, though, we only cry to the Lord after we’ve exhausted every other avenue. Perhaps this indicates how much we do or don’t trust in Him. Peter didn’t try to get back into the boat when he started sinking as he was walking on the water. No, he called to the Lord for help. And the Lord saved him. Let’s all get into the habit of calling on the Lord FIRST.
