Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3:11)
is much before me in its connection. Who has the greater joy? The One who gives the crown, or the one who receives it?
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35

I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35)

The greatest sorrow for us, would be, not to lose the crown, but to deprive Him of His joy in giving it.
