Listen from:
A pleasure craft was sailing down the river one day when a boy fell overboard. Someone threw him a life belt. He caught hold of it, and was drawn to safety.
The drowning boy cast himself on the life belt; he trusted himself to it, and was saved. That was faith.
Christ is the lifebelt. “Look unto Me, and be ye saved,... for I am God and there is none else.” Isa. 45:2222Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:22). “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no saviour.” Isa. 43:1111I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11).
