And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord.
Your heart can be lifted up in one of two ways: in pride, or in the ways of the Lord. God hates pride, but He will bless those who, in simplicity and faithfulness, follow His ways. The ways of God are happy, with no regrets. Jehoshaphat, the king of Israel in our verse today, was faithful to the Lord, and the Lord honored him for it. He will honor you too if you stand firm for Him.
