Behold, I stand at the door, and knock.
Again we have another clear example that the Lord Jesus does not force Himself on us. But He longs for our fellowship and when we get too busy or too proud for Him, He is still to be found knocking at our heart’s door wanting in. Why doesn’t He just come in anyway? Because He wants us to want Him. Only then can we have true fellowship.
