WE would not shun to declare the whole counsel of God. Such Gospel witness will raise a barrier against the intrusions of the apostasy. A people established in the true faith will not easily be seduced by false teachers. To make Gospel teaching more and more plain is happy service, and is, probably, the most practical way of lifting up the standard against the great flood of evil which is rolling in on all sides. Our country friends used to say, if you would keep chaff out of the bushel, fill it full of wheat. The need of the age is a frequent rehearsal of the “things most surely believed among us,” with a serious Scriptural defense of them against all adversaries.
