Fragment: Neglecting the Gift

If I “neglect... the gift” which God has given me for the blessing of His beloved people when things are going well in the assembly (1 Tim. 4:1414Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. (1 Timothy 4:14)), the result will be disorder. The condition of assembly confusion in 2 Timothy was the result of this “neglect.” When that is the case, I need to “stir up the gift of God” (2 Tim. 1:66Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1:6)) which has been given to me.
