Fragment: The Secret of HIs Presence

What joy and blessing for the child of God who is found in the “secret of His presence” (Psa. 31:20; 91:1²⁰Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. (Psalm 31:20)
¹He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)).

Shut in with the Lord, away from the world with its cares and temptations, what depths of His love and wisdom will be revealed to us! (Rom. 11:33³³O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33); Eph. 3:18, 19¹⁸May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; ¹⁹And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:18‑19)).

“Art thou weaned from Egypt’s pleasures,

God in secret thee shall keep,

There unfold His hidden treasures,

There His love’s exhaustless deep.”
