His plans for us are surpassingly wonderful—and if Christ says, “I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you” (John 14:2020At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. (John 14:20)), how can one who believes this blessed fact turn to anything of the flesh (Rom. 7:1818For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (Romans 7:18))?
While I am realizing that I am in Christ and living Christ, all the affections of my heart will be set on Him, and I shall have the ability to do things that, apart from Him, I would not even think about!
Knowing the love of God is the result of the soul having a right view of the blessed place into which that love has brought it (1 John 4:1616And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16)).
