God Sees Every Bird's Nest!

It was such a pretty garden wedding, but it was terribly windy. However, in spite of the strong winds, everyone was having such a happy time celebrating with this lovely couple that they didn’t seem to mind the wind one bit.
It was in this very same yard, many years earlier, that a little girl played. Her name was Ruth. Her family had moved to this Idaho desert land, but the father was having trouble making a living for his family.
It had been a windy area for a long time, and Ruth’s mother would go gather sagebrush for fuel for the old cook stove. This kept her family fed with hot meals and warmed the house. Wind can find cracks to get into a house much faster than little field mice get inside. All of us, even the little mouse, like to keep warm inside when it’s cold and snowy outside.
Sometimes Ruth got a little hungry because there wasn’t enough food. But kind neighbors, who also loved the Lord Jesus, seemed to realize that the family didn’t have enough food, and at night they would leave food by their door. Wasn’t that kind of them?
These difficult times for the family did not change for quite a while, and Ruth’s father was getting very discouraged. He loved his family and worked hard to supply their needs.
When spring came and it was time to do field work again, Ruth’s father got his horses out and began to cut hay. As he moved along, too late he looked down and noticed a little bird’s nest hidden in the hay right where he was cutting. He was a kind-hearted man, and he hated to hurt the nest, but it was too late to save it.
But someone else noticed that little nest too—the very Creator of little birds! And do you know what happened? He had a lava rock placed right in that very field, so when the mower’s cutter bar hit that rock, the mower went right up and over that little nest and never touched it! The nest was saved!
Ruth’s father was so comforted and happy about God saving the nest that he took courage. He knew that the very same God who cared enough to protect a little bird’s nest was the very same God who knew their needs and would help him take care of his family. And that’s just what happened!
