After the wicked king Sennacherib had threatened the people of God and blasphemed (cursed) Jehovah, the godly king Hezekiah humbled himself and told the prophet Isaiah to pray for the people.
Isaiah did this and God heard his prayer and sent word to the king that He would protect His beloved people against this wicked king.
The king of Assyria lost many men in one night when the angel of the Lord smote them in a terrible judgment. After this he returned to his home and two of his own sons killed him. What a terrible end to a king who had defied Jehovah!
