Hezekiah reigned for several years and was very obedient and faithful to Jehovah. But after a time he got sick. The prophet Isaiah was sent to him with a very solemn message. Hezekiah was to get all of his business taken care of, for he was going to die from his illness.
When the king heard this he was very sad and began to weep and to pray and ask God to heal him. God very graciously heard his prayer and granted him 15 more years of life. The prophet Isaiah was sent back to the king with that message also. The king asked that he would be given a sign so that he would know that he was to be healed.
