Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
Meekness should mark every believer. So should hope. The Old Testament saints had the hope of an eternity with God and that’s what sustained them. How much greater should our hope be when the Lord Jesus promised that He would come again and receive us unto Himself. The hope of the Lord’s coming is what makes the Christian’s life worthwhile.
