"I Want to Be Sure"

AT the close of our Friday Evening’s Children’s Meeting, a little boy came up to me and said, “I want to be sure about it, sir.”
“What do you want to be sure about, my boy?” I asked.
“About my salvation, sir,” he replied.
We sat down side by side, and spoke together a long time about Christ, and His precious blood. We read several portions of Scripture, such as John 5:2424Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24), Acts 13:3838Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: (Acts 13:38), that make all who believe sure about their salvation, and at the close of our conversation, the dear little fellow said, “I am sure about it now.”
