What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Our God says, “I, even I, am He that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass?” So “cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Then, dear blood-bought saint, “let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Then, “what shall we say to these things?” “These things” referred to in

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
tell us that “there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” and that He “did predestinate [us] to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” So “hearken unto Me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.” “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
