First gush of creation

(Gen. 1:3³And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3)). Frequent source of imagery (Matt. 4:16¹⁶The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. (Matthew 4:16); Luke 2:32³²A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. (Luke 2:32); John 1:7-9⁷The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. ⁸He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. ⁹That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
