Question: Matt. 17:10¹⁰And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? (Matthew 17:10). What mean “their angels?” R. M.

Answer: Not the spirits, but the angelic representatives, of the little ones. Compare what is said of Peter in Acts 12:15¹⁵And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. (Acts 12:15). It is well however to abide within the limits of what is revealed without prying beyond. See Col. 2¹⁵And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:15).
