Listen from:
O Thou who hast redeemed of old,
And made us of Thy grace take hold,
With God at peace through Thee,
Help me these blessings now to own,
And tell aloud what Thou hast done,
O holy Lamb, for me.
Out of myself for help I go,
Thy power alone resolved to know,
Thy love's the plea I make;
Give me the power, 'tis this I claim,
With heart and life to praise Thy name,
Give, for Thy mercy's sake.
Love, only love, Thy heart inclined,
And brought Thee, Saviour of mankind,
Down from the throne above;
Love made Thee here a Man of grief,
Distressed Thee sore for our relief,
Oh mystery of love!
Lord, I am Thine, Thy love to me
Constrains my soul to cleave to Thee,
And gladly to resign
Whate'er I have, whate'er I am;
My life be all with Thine the same,
And all Thy shame be mine.
