It’s a real blessing to be able to sleep —peacefully. David enjoyed that luxury - even though he was running away from his own son Absalom. David had his confidence in God and it brought peace. His circumstances were anything but nice, but his heart trusted in God, and he had peace. We can, too.
“The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.”
Isa. 32:17
