THERE is a peaceful blest abode,
Where reigns in light th’ eternal God;
A land of holy love and bliss,
Of never ending happiness.
There is a home of sweet repose,
Where life’s clear river ever flows;
Where Jesus sits upon the throne,
And every pure delight is known.
There is the bright angelic band,
Which waiting God’s behest e’er stand,
Tending the heirs of life below.
