Profit and Loss.

The World's Question.

"What is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto Him?" Job 21:15¹⁵What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him? (Job 21:15).

God's Answer.

"Godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." 1 Tim. 4:8⁸For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:8).

But "What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36³⁶For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).

"Jesus our Lord... was
delivered for our offenses,
and was raised again for
our justification.”

Rom. 4:24, 25²⁴But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; ²⁵Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:24‑25).
