TRUST in the Lord with all thine heart,
Though forces here oppose;
Lean on His everlasting arm,
And on His breast repose.
Delight thyself in Him, thy Lord;
Learn well His blessed will,
And each desire of thine heart,
He surely will fulfill.
Commit thy way unto the Lord,
And place in Him thy trust;
He orders all in love for thee;
The holy, and the just.
Rest in the Lord 'mid tumults here,
With trials oft oppressed;
Calm on the breast of Him we love
Our souls can sweetly rest.
Wait patiently alone for Him
Thy path to order still,
And rest, composed and satisfied,
What e'er may be His will.
