Reconciliation.

“RECONCILIATION,”
Sweet and blessed word;
Telling of salvation,
In the Christ, the Lord.”
Sinners in the distance,
Far from God who rove;
Show a stern resistance
To His earnest love.
They, to their undoing,
Flee before His face;
Yet is He pursuing
Them in urgent grace.
God His Son has given,
For our fallen race;
Christ has come from heaven,
In the freest grace.
He, the Lamb most holy,
Pure without, within;
Bore our judgment fully,
Took the curse of sin.
Now, in resurrection,
On the heav’nly throne;
He is the perfection
Of each trusting one.
By the Spirit preaching,
To the lost, defil’d;
God is thee beseeching,
To be reconciled.
Choose not condemnation,
Nor His love disdain;
Let not God’s salvation,
Be to thee in vain.
