But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin.
Ouch! It wouldn’t hurt so much if the Lord had said that He wouldn’t like it if we have respect of persons. But it’s much more serious than that. It is sin. God said so. And still we show respect of persons. We treat one class better than another. We show favoritism to one group more than another. God has no favorites among His people. We shouldn’t show it either. Treat everyone the same.
