Evidence of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus was found in the empty tomb. Mary Magdalene and another woman also called Mary, who had been standing by the cross of the Lord as He died, now stand at the mouth of His empty tomb. A message of hope and joy is given to them by an angel who sees them there. “Go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead.” What a message! The One who had raised several dead people to life now has been raised by the power of the Father and is going to Galilee to meet His closest friends. Our faith is centered on the resurrection.
