The Lord asked John to write the things he saw. John saw many things that will happen in the future. God says that there is a special blessing for you if you read this Book of Revelation and keep the things that are written in the book. The time for these prophecies is at hand. They will happen very soon.
All glory belongs to Jesus Christ. He is the One who loves us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. One day Jesus is coming with clouds of saints as the king. All those who hate Jesus will wail and cry with fear when they see Him because they will know then that they should have believed. Instead, they rejected Jesus, and they fear because they know they are going to hell. Jesus is the beginning and He is also the end. These people have met their end. In the end Jesus is the winner over all His enemies.
John was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day when he heard and saw this prophecy. As John turned to see the voice that spoke to him, he saw seven golden candlesticks. In the midst — in the middle — of the seven candlesticks was the Son of Man. It was Jesus Christ. He is the wise One with the white hair, holy and pure as white as snow, and His eyes as a flame of fire to see all that is happening in the churches, whether it is good or bad. The seven candlesticks represent the seven churches in Asia. These seven churches were churches that were in seven cities in Asia.
