LUK 7:37-3837And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. (Luke 7:37‑38)
A woman . . . which was a sinner . . . stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with her tears.
Luke 7:37, 3837And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. (Luke 7:37‑38)
Through her many tears this woman saw more of the glory of Jesus than any others. Have your tears led you to know Jesus better, to draw nearer to Him, to trust Him as never before? Then be thankful for those tears. “Tears are often the telescope through which men see far into heaven.” [Beecher]
