John 12:24²⁴Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. (John 12:24)

Christ was the corn of wheat that fell into the ground and died. He brought forth much fruit—a picture of which we have in the wave sheaf in Leviticus 23:11¹¹And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. (Leviticus 23:11). He was the corn of wheat—the harvest, a whole sheaf.
