Who is this One before whose face earth and heaven flee (
Rev. 20:11

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (Revelation 20:11)
)?
The same One who fell on His face in the garden of Gethsemane (
Matt. 26:39

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. (Matthew 26:39)
).
The same One in whose face man, in his awful hatred, dared to spit (
Isa. 50:6

The same One from whom God hid His face in His time of deep need (

The same One we are called to contemplate and in whose face shines the knowledge of the glory of God (
