My child, look upward to the sky,
The sun and moon are there.
And host of stars that shine on high,
And sparkle everywhere.
Then view the wide, deep, rolling sea,
So wondrous and so grand;
Then ev’ry plant, and ev’ry tree
That grows upon the land.
Who made the earth, and sea, and sun?
Who made both you and me?
If God such wondrous works have done
How wondrous must He be!
