God so wrought in Christ in order that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to flesh, but according to Spirit.
Christ, not the law-Christ in grace and truth-Christ dead and risen is the sole power of holiness by the working of the Holy Spirit in us, and the heart answers in love to God and man, so that what the law required of those under itself, but in vain, is really fulfilled in those who are not under law but under grace (Rom. 8:44That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
