Precious, precious blood of Jesus!

Faith in God’s dear Son;

Faith in work which God declareth

Precious, precious blood of Jesus!

Cleansing us from sin;

God’s “true token,” aye, our safety,

It must win. 1 Peter 1:19¹⁹But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1:19).

Precious, precious Christ in glory!

Joy of each true heart;

He alone is our sufficing,

Lot and part! 1 Peter 2:6⁶Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. (1 Peter 2:6).
