Notice on what occasions the New Testament Scriptures present
His coming
the first time: ―
At His birth — “When He cometh into the world He saith... Lo,
I come
(in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God” (
Heb. 10:5

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10:5)
).
At His coming — “That was the true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world (
or
that
coming into the world
lighteth every man)” (
John 1:9

As to the general fact — “He
came
unto His own, and His own received Him not” (

At His royal entry into Jerusalem — “Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass” (
Matt. 21:5

At His death — “This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood” (

At His entry into heaven — “But Christ being

an High Priest of good things to come... by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption”

Heb. 9:11, 12

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
