What the Christian Is to Be and to Do

He is, therefore, not to love it, nor any of the things that are in it (1 John 2:1515Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15)), all of which are comprised in “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,” and which are emphatically “not of the Father” (1 John 2:1616For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16)).
Such is the Christian course, as laid down in the Chart of God’s Word.
Shall we not seek to be more true to Him “until He comes”?
