Echoes of Grace: 1977
"Why don't you tackle Homer, Shakespeare, Kipling, or some of these men? Have a shot at them, and let the Bible alone for awhile." The question was asked by a man at an infidel lecture in London.
"Because the Bible won't leave
us
alone," promptly replied the lecturer.
How true! We can know the Bible is the Word of God because it speaks to our hearts and consciences as no other book. "Quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword."
Hebrews 4:12
12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
